My sister-in-law, Brandi, recently got into camping as something for and her two girls to do at the lake on the weekends. I thought this cute “Happy Camper” shirt would make a great birthday gift for her to sport around the campsite!
I’ll walk you through how to make one for yourself!
First start by creating your chosen design in the Cricut Design app.
Then cut it out using white (or whatever color) iron-on vinyl with a Cricut Expression Air. I use the app on my iPhone and Bluetooth to my Cricut machine. Super easy and convenient! Be sure to mirror the image so it prints backwards (there’s a setting on the Cricut machine as well as the Cricut app). Also make sure to have the vinyl placed on the mat with the correct side down so it cuts the vinyl on the right side. I have learned this the hard way!
Then ‘weed’ out the excess vinyl.
Turn over the vinyl cutout and center it on the shirt. Now comes the fun part, ironing the creation on the shirt! I turn the iron on the highest setting and press the vinyl on for about 20 seconds using firm pressure. Let it cool and then remove the clear sticky backing.
Finished product! Such a fun and easy shirt to make. Plus a cute, personalized gift for my sweet sister-in-law to wear while camping!
I’d love to hear from you and see your creations!
XOXO ~
